Texas Bluebonnets With My Family

Texans wait all year for the famous bluebonnets to appear. They only come out for a very short time in March & sometimes April. The bluebonnet is really only a weed but a beautiful one at that. So Rick & I drove to meet his mom to pick up our kids from their vacation with their grandparents in Houston. We met in Brenham so we could take our bluebonnet shots for the year. We hardly get a patch here in Austin, so you have to drive East 2 hrs. to capture them in full fields.

Here are some of the ones I was able to get. Not my best work at ALL. I was having to shoot in full sun, with a broken foot that should not have been walked on. ha! And 5 restless kids, need I say more?
