Central Park

Central Park is an amazing place to spend the day. We walked through it on Sunday and it was a cool 75 degrees. Here are some facts about Central Park you may not know…
There are 853 acres of park
The park is 6 miles in perimeter & contains 58 miles of pedestrian park
Completely man made, taking 15 yrs to build and over $14 million
There are 21 playgrounds, 1 zoo, a carousel, 36 bridges, 51 sculptures,
and 7 miles of benches totaling nearly 9 miles long (nearly 9,000 benches) Crazy!

While walking through we came across Strawberry Fields, as in Strawberry Fields Forever.

2.5 acres are dedicated to John Lennon in Central Park. The Imagine mosaic is a replica of a famous mosaic in Pompeii and was a gift from Naples, Italy.
