Jesse is by far the biggest newborn I’ve ever photographed. Here he is at 6 days weighing in at 9 lbs 11 oz! He was a 41 week-er, so not only was he big but he was so alert and only slept for about 10 minutes of the session. He came into the world with a full head of beautiful black hair., which makes for some extra pretty shots.
You certainly can’t tell from the pictures, but this little guy had us working our tails off for a single smile. We broke out all the tricks and he wasn’t having it! I guess he didn’t find us funny. It all seemed to work out, thanks to a super fast shutter speed for the micro- second of a smile that he gave us. ha!

I always get so excited when I see this family upcoming on my schedule. This mommy is always so prepared and knows what she wants, which is super helpful for me. I was even more excited when she told me she wanted a field, my all time favorite session. Here is a quick little peek for you all and to the very helpful, sweet, friendly neighbor who came to “play” with us.
Little J. was a 41 weeker! He seemed more alert than a typical newborn at this age. I never heard a peep out of him throughout the session, I’m convinced this baby doesn’t cry. He just looked at me with those big brown eyes. So happy to add him to my baby plan, and I look forward to watching him grow over this next year. Here’s a little snap from today.
