I love beach sessions, even with the super strong wind. The colors, the fun candid feel of the family shots, love it. This family was really easy going, and little Charis was my instant friend. She was a little fireball full of personality, I love her so! Big brother was fun too, and so many great moments were captured between the two kids that made me smile while editing them. Thanks A. family, it was great seeing you all!
4 years ago today Cooper Benjamin was born into our family. He is the 4th baby out of 5. Cooper is full of life and enjoys swimming, pushing his cars on the floor and talking about the ups man, the fedex man or the garbage man. He keeps us laughing with his funny little quirks. Happy Birthday Benny, we love you!
Revisiting the beach, in B&W this time, I love how they came out and have so much more emotion when shown in B&W. I was thankful for the clouds on the first few days, makes for great lighting, even if I was hiding under a beach towel just to protect the beloved Nikon. The kids had a blast jumping the waves, digging in the sand and swimming all day. Looking forward to our next FL trip in September!
While we were at our family reunion in Panama City Beach, I did a quick (meaning less than 5 min. session) of my brother-in-law and their lovely family. We had it scheduled for Friday night, so Friday night came & so did a huge storm. Ugh! We were determined though to get these pictures done for their Christmas cards. So we ran out there, the sand was beating on our legs, it was nuts. (notice the huge clouds in the background). Turns out storms make for VERY cool backgrounds, even if you are a little scared you may get struck by lightning. ha! I would have never gone through with this if they had little kids, ha! But their 4 kids are troopers and did not complain one bit. Love you guys! Hope it was worth it!

Kelly & I took our girls ages 4, 2 & the babies were 6 months at the time) to Disney. We also were joined by our girl friends from High School. We had a blast & they were a TON of help to us, because they had no kids. I don’t really know what Kelly & I were thinking when we planned it for just us to go with the girls. We were SO relived when our girls showed up and helped us. Thanks Jackie, Ab, Colette & Jessica you all rock!
I really didn’t take that many pictures while at Disney. Juggling kids & the heat was enough to do a person in. 
But I got a few for the memories.
Have not posted anything about our Disney trip in Aug. augh!! Here is a quick one of Parker with her lovely mouse ears. Yup she wants to wear them with everything. Funny huh? This was taken after a long, hot day on our way out of the park. I’ll get some more disney posts together and try to get them up on Friday.
Summer is officially over for our family, back to school on Monday. Of course that’s back to the Warpula Independent School System. Starting year 3 of homeschooling my little pupils. As time consuming, frustrating and hard work that it can be, it is well worth it. I will admit homeschooling is not for everyone. For our family it works, we love the extra time that the kids are with us. And most importantly we love how hands on we are in their education. I am so proud of my “little learners” and look forward to a new year of schooling. This year we will add a Kindergartner~Parker joins the boys and I. I’m sure the first few weeks of adjustment will have me in a frenzy. On the photography side, I am off for 2 weeks to adjust & then the fall rush begins. *Only 6 sessions left in 09, by the way* so if you were wanting a Christmas session email me & I will do my best to get you on the schedule!
Ava was a friend of mine back in HS. We have reconnected on Facebook, go figure! She booked me for a session while I was down in FL. It was so great meeting your family Ava, you all are such a precious family!
As much as I love the color shots on the beach I think I love the black & whites almost as much maybe even more! Especially on pretty blond babies. Such a fun, messy session. I always forget how messy sand can be, it gets everywhere. Thankfully this mama was not as phased as I would have been about it. : )
