Josh and Ashley were married back in June. Two spectacular venues, St. Mary’s Catholic church in downtown Austin and the reception was at the Windfield Inn, Kyle. The light was beautiful as were the bride and bridesmaids. Thank you all for including Veronika (my second shooter) and I in your special event. We had a great time and are honored to have captured these memories for you. Now onto the picture overload!
Before heading to Florida I had the honor of photographing Ashley & Josh’s wedding with Veronika, who flew in from CA to second shoot with me. The venues were awesome, beautiful church downtown and then down to Kyle for the reception. We had fabulous lighting and a really nice group of people to work with. Here are a few pictures from the church to hold them over while I finish up the rest. Congratulations to you both and thank you for having fun with us and being SO great & open to all the requests. I promise you will LOVE the results.
I have a love hate thing going with the flash. Most of you know I don’t use it at all, it’s not my style. I do own one though for the “just in case” moments. A must have for weddings. I did bring it to this wedding and used it a fair amount and then started toying with not using it on the night shots. Here is what I came up with: The first set was done at 9pm, pretty dark out, very high ISO, 1.8 aperture & slow shutter speed. I love the outcome. It looks like it was actually light out, it was NOT I promise. The dancing ones were really fun too, this location had some great lighting from the dj allowing me to make the stars, love those! And then I loved how they had sparklers at the end, those are always fun to capture.
Last night I had the pleasure of second shooting a wedding with the amazing Lisa Woods of Now and Then Photography here in Austin. The wedding was held in Georgetown at a fantastic outdoor venue- Kindred Oaks. The choice of colors was so fun & bright, line green and purple with black & white accents. Really fun! Lisa, thanks it was a good time!

Everyone that knows me, knows that I love a good farm. Especially as my backdrop, especially as a backdrop for bridals. These were taken last week in a small farm town in IL. The weather was cool, the lighting was perfect and the bride was dreamy. I loved all of these so I will be posting more over the weekend.
