Carson’s Prayer

Carson said the prayer tonight at dinner. We tried our best not to roll on the floor laughing.
Dear God- Thank you that I can go fishing with Granddaddy and thank you for my big muscles so that I can wrestle Daddy. Amen!

Pool Party

The big boys and I went to a birthday party today. A little girl from their class at church was turning 4. We had a great time. They discovered the diving board and spent the entire time on it!! Here are some shots from the day.

Carson loves the noise maker & some how we made it home with it. Ugh!
Look Mom I can blow it in your face! Over and over again.

Hummm… I wonder who stuck is finger in the cake???
Can’t have just 1 noice maker… Griffin brought one home too.
Griffin “walking the plank”

Boys will be boys

It was fun to jump together too!

This is my favorite one of Carson, you can just see from his face how much fun he was having.

Birthday Boy

These are Cooper’s party photos from July…

It’s hard to believe that a year ago I was being induced & didn’t know if he was a girl or a boy. Time sure flies by. I feel like we have really treasured our time with Cooper more than the others because we know how fast it goes by. We were not in a hurry this time to see him sit up, crawl or walk. (which he is NOT walking by the way, he is taking his time.)
The big Coop turned one today. He started his morning out by sleeping in late, he woke up with a big one year old smile.
Here are 12 things about Cooper for his 12 months of life:

1. Cooper rarely gets called Cooper around our house. Here are some names he is called. Griffin calls him Coop B. Carson calls him Cooper Benner. Parker calls him Poops (she can’t say her C’s) I call him Benny and Daddy calls him Cooper Ben or all of the above.
2. Cooper has 4 words. Mama, Dada, Dog, Ball
3. He knows a few signs. More, Milk, Dog, Bath, and can recognize many more.
4. Cooper’s favorite activities are swimming & taking a bath at night. He is quite the swimmer too. He can float on his back with very little assistance, go underwater, hold onto the side and kick his legs.
5. Cooper weighs 21 lbs, is 31 inches long (95% in height we consider that a really odd but good thing, he is a Warpula after all and Warpula’s are not known for their height)
6.Cooper can get to the top of the stairs quickly and quietly. We finally put up a gate. He wants to be up in the playroom with the big kids and sneaks off. Before you know it, he’s gone.
7. Cooper loves to swing at the park and can sit in the swing for a very long time.
8. This boy is an eater. Another Warpula trait. He can eat as much as Parker if not more. Not only does he eat a lot, he will eat just about anything you put in front of him. We think he will take after Griffin in this way.
9. He is about the calmest of all 4, another good thing!
10. Cooper is a mama’s boy & is having a little trouble weaning onto regular milk
11. Just like his siblings he loves to wrestle with Daddy, a game mommy likes to pass up!
12. Cooper is the sweetest, easiest baby we have had so far! (we hope he is still like this when he is 2!)
We have enjoyed our first year with Coop B and look forward to many more years to come. Although its a sad day for Mommy & Daddy, we are so thankful he is growing and developing so well.

Twas The Night Before His 1st Birthday

Cooper’s last photos before turning 1… It’s a bit sad for me. I like having them small and don’t want it to go by so fast. He is such a sweet baby. Here he is in his sailboat room tonight before bed. Birthday shots of the big sailboat party will be posted tomorrow.

Four Yellow Busy Bees…

Dressed in YELLOW and somewhere to go! So on Friday night we went to Pei Wei an Asian diner. Yummy the kids love it and so do we! They all wanted to “match Cooper” so here they are matching Cooper. He is so popular around here. Everything he does is cute to them. I only wish they felt that way about each other. Ha!

Parker smelling the flowers in our yard…
How cute are her jeans? She says they are like mommy’s Only I don’t think AG makes jeans with a cute sunflower on the side!
Here’s the close up of this swanky Gemboree set..

Pulling out all the tricks…

We finally had some rain here in Austin the last few days. Its a good thing because my Crepe Mertals are looking a little sad out back. But it also means mommy has to pull out the tricks because we were not going anywhere! So here we are playing ABC Bingo at 8am. (Thanks Jonna! We love it!) The next shot is Carson doing some water doodle Dora thing, then Parker playing play dough & Coop playing play dough only minus the dough! He likes the accessories that go along with play dough, and mommy likes that he is not eating the play dough. We all win!

Be A Good Dog; Come, Sit & Stay

We took Maggie, our 5 year old, shaved golden retriever to the lake to swim today.
She loves to retrieve her bumper
This is Lake Travis, the huge lake in Austin only 3 minutes from our house.
