Rose Update

Just a quick rose update. (Meredith K. you may be the only one that cares about this post! )My rose bushes are blooming like crazy!! This first one is the special purple one that Rick hunted all over Austin for. It more of a bright pink than a purple but really pretty & very fragrant.
The next one is from my rose tree, these are mango and looked amazing until that huge storm we had the other night. I’ve clipped them all since then.
This is an oldy but goodie coming back for the second year in a row. This climbs up the side of our garage with the purple one. I have about 20 more blooms about to open on this bush as well.
Next week my yellow & my lavender should be opening up. I’ll post more on that later.
Off to Houston for a long weekend. Rick has another medical conference and I have 2 photoshoots & plans with great friends!

Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini

Well its not yellow but it is Teenie Weenie, that’s for sure! My mom sent Parker some super cute suits from her store http://www.groundswellsurfshop.com/ yesterday. Of course Parker was very excited to try them on for me. I told her I needed to take pictures so that Grammy could see if they fit. She would do anything for her Grammy. We all know it was really for the blog ;) so here she is in all her cuteness modeling away. Ohh to look that cute in a bikini again! ha! Those days are long gone, but I have four good reasons for that.

For those of you that care… The first suit modeled by miss Priss herself is a Billabong suit

And the second one is a ROXY

Urban Senior Session

All I can say is WOW! Yesterday I had a senior session with Chase. We went downtown and found some really cool vintage places & backgrounds. This was such a fun session, even if we did get chased by a bum with an axe. ha!
Doesn’t he look like an Abercrombie model?! His slide show is really one you must see, its full of fun, urban backgrounds. Thanks Chase for being so great!
I seriously could post his entire session, I love them all and had a really hard time choosing what to present to them. Here are a few of my top favs, but really, I each and everyone of them!! I don’t know how they will ever choose the one for his Graduation announcements.
Ok so click the link and turn up the volume. Chase picked the song by Jack Johnson:

Batter Up…

T Ball season is up and running. We had our first game today and the boys did great! They had a blast out there and look forward to our next game. This is our first season playing Tball, they have always done soccer. So far I think they enjoyed it. Here are a view shots with vintage & texture.

School Update

A little school update about our kids. As some of you may not know we home school our children and have been really pleased with the results so far. The boys are almost done with their Kindergarten year. We have been using the Saxon K phonics and the Saxon K math program. Science & art I have been teaching out of other random books. This week we painted pictures of blue bonnets with our fingerprints. They came out really cute. We will have real blue bonnet pictures next week when we go to Houston. As you can see Parker sits in on school and loves it too.
Last week we did some work with money. I set up a “grocery store” each boy was give his own “price tag” (the yellow paper) and they were told to price their groceries from $.1 to $.25. Then they used their money to “buy” groceries at each other’s stores. They had to use the correct coin in order to buy their items. This was really fun for them and now they know each coin & how much it’s worth. Maybe I should be shopping at their store, their prices are so LOW!
Other big news on school… Last week I went & stood in line to enroll them for the school Classical Enrichment Academy. They were both accepted! This school is a Christ-centered learning environment with an emphasis on academic and liberal arts studies. They only take 15 children per grade. We are excited for them they will both love it. We will still be homeschooling 4 days a week and they will go one day a week for enrichment courses. The courses offered are readers theater and speech, music, PE. Geography through art, and literature studies. I have been so thankful for all the quality time I’ve had while teaching them this past year. It’s a ton of work to homeschool, and not for everyone but I am so happy we made the decision to keep them home with us. The amount of information they are retaining and learning has been amazing and we are so proud of the smart young boys they have become.

Dr. Feel Good

Carson LOVES to hear Rick talk about work and what he does during the day. A few weeks ago Rick brought Carson home his hat from a surgery he had done that day. He was so excited. He went and put on Rick’s scrubs and found a stethoscope and asked me to take pictures of him. Who knows maybe he will follow in his daddy’s footsteps…

Parker- 3 1/2

Parker, Parker our sweet Parker. She is 3 1/2 today. What can I say about Parker. Well this girl can hold her own. I’m not sure if she just comes that way or if it has anything to do with being the only girl and having 3 brothers. But she is not a mild, calm, or passive little girl. She is more like a girl with an opinion. A little sassy and has been known to change her mind within a second. She is a little mommy and loves to take care of her babies. She spends a lot of time putting her dollies to sleep, changing their clothes (thanks to Aunt Jill for all the handmade outfits) and moving the dolls from room to room. Parker does best when given a job. She will complete a task to its fullest. But when bored with nothing to do she enjoys taunting her brothers. Particularly Carson. The two of them are oil and water. She can push his buttons faster than the speed of light. This is something she considers “entertainment”. Even if it does result in punishment on her part.

We are thrilled & blessed to have a little girl, but are even more thrilled that there is only one little girl in our bunch! ha! :)

Playing with Texture

Carson’s feet the other day. Me playing with texture on my pictures…
Still waiting for summer to arrive… The boys are signed up for surf lessons while we are in FL for the month of June. They are SO excited!!
