She’ll Melt your Heart…

Our little Presley  Grace is 5 months old today. *sniff, sniff*. She really is the best baby ever! At least that’s what we think, ha! Besides being happy nearly everyday all day, she sleeps 11-12 hours each night, and naps 2 long naps and 1 mini nap a day. She is in LOVE with her big siblings and they love her too. Griffin especially is fond of her, taking care of her needs daily. He is always rushing to her side to give her a paci or make her smile. He tells us each day that he wants to be a pediatrician so he can take care of babies everyday. The other day he said “When Presley grows up and isn’t a baby anymore who am I going to love on?” How sweet is that? Today I took her in the pool for the first time. Like her brothers and sister she too is a water-bug. She floated on her back with me only holding her head and she laid there so peacefully. It was really a site to see. Here are some pictures I took out front this evening, with the help of her big brothers.

Little Flipper

This summer 3 of my kids are signed up for gymnastics. This is very exciting for me because I took gymnastics for many, many years as a child. Its pure joy watching your kids learn new things & have such a fun time doing it. I did not bring my camera for the big boys class last night, but I will next time. For now here are some of my sweet Parker. These are all taken from very far away. There is a watching area above the kids, which makes for some fun photo ops.

Feeling B&W

Love these kids (mom & dad are pretty sweet too), they came to me last May for their birthday pictures & they are back again this year. I’m in the middle of editing them, but loved these few in B&W and just had to share. Funny thing is the color shots are so pretty & green but I just loved these presented this way. I guess it just depends on what mood I’m in when I go to edit the session. ha!

Little boy E. has a lot of spunk & reminds me of my Benny. We had to trick him a few times to get the shots. Thanks to his daddy for helping me with that. This boy sure can run! Its a wonder I even got any shots of him. ha!

Little Dolly

This precious little gal is 6 month old. She is a tiny little thing too, but sitting up so well! Really helped to have such a good sitter for the 6 month session. You can also find her other precious pictures  here  back when she was a newborn. Thanks for such an easy session Miss Carly!

Peacocks at todays session

This guy was hanging out in the parking lot when I pulled in for todays session. He was a  beauty!

Congratulations Grads!

As many of you know Senior sessions are about my very favorite session. I love all the creativeness that goes along with it, the cool locations, all the processing of the images, working with the moms to make their graduation announcements, books and collages. Here are the 11 class of 09 seniors I had the privilege of working with this year. Each one of them has a big future ahead. Congratulations Class of 2009!

Wood Floors!

This week we had the pleasure of ripping out our carpet and installing hand-scrapped wood floors in our bedroom. Wow! It makes all the difference. We are SO pleased with them. Here are some before & afters. (taken at different times of day so the walls look green in some shots and silver in others) The color is silver-sage by Restoration Hardware if anyone is wondering.

Really I should have cleaned up our shelves before taking these. whoops!

Wildflower Baby

This little guy was so sweet & had the calmest personality! Lucky mama for sure. He is only a few days older than my Presley but he three times her size. Maybe some football in his future? His brother was a handsome little guy as well, a boy after his papa’s heart. He loves this family ranch at such a young age you can already tell.

This last one cracks me up!! I love baby Boyd’s big cheeks, they are so kissable that’s for sure.

South Austin Maternity

One of the perks to my job is seeing new places & meeting nice people. This  mom & dad to be live in San Antonio, but drove up for their maternity session. Mama-to-be sure is a beauty & the pregnancy glow is really showing through! I can’t wait to meet their little girl in early July!

Elk, Deer & More Sun Flare

This weekend I had a TX ranch theme going on. Tonight I traveled to beautiful, peaceful town an hour East of Austin. This family ranch of 300 acres was amazing. I have only just downloaded the shots, and there are many  more to come this week. I ran across these two with some great sun flare & huge Elk in the background.  Here they are at sunset.
