Farm Bridals Part 1

Everyone that knows me, knows that I love a good farm. Especially as my backdrop, especially as a backdrop for bridals. These were taken last week in a small farm town in IL. The weather was cool, the lighting was perfect and the bride was dreamy. I loved all of these so I will be posting more over the weekend.

Christmas Minis

It’s that time of year, already, to start thinking about booking your Christmas sessions. In order to accommodate my loyal clients, I am going to be doing 30 min. sessions this yr. Don’t worry, you would not believe the amount of shots I can take in such little time! Please contact me if you’d like to book.

As a special incentive, if you hold your Christmas session in August. I will also throw in a 5×5 brag book. The August dates available are: August 16, 23, 29 & 30.

Old Scratchy

Our at the farm Rick’s Gma had this cool, very old, very scratchy ugly chair in the barn. I begged Rick to let me take it home for photoshoots. He won that one, its still in IL, sitting in the barn, not being used. I plan to use it everytime we visit. ha! He did however, drag it out to a shady spot where we had a quick little photo shoot of our family in it. Here are some cute ones that I managed to get. Mandy (rick’s cousin) & Pax happened to come out to the farm & I shot some of them too.

We’re Back!

We are back from IL. We had the time of our lives too! Here is a very quick shot, there of course are thousands of photos to go through, I just thought this one of my husband was funny to post. At the camp there are many fun activities. This one is called the “Blob”. One person (my husband) goes to the end of the blob, then another person (note Ben’s leg on the far right) jumps down and the flyer (Rick) gets launched into the air. Really funny. Wasn’t funny though, when Carson launched really high into the air and belly-flopped down. He came out crying & a large welt on the tummy. I will post many more shots as the week goes on, including a bridal session I did at the farm. Can’t wait to get to those, they are fantastic!

Cozy Impressions Closed for the Week

Making memories with our kids, taking time to enjoy life…

Cozy will be closed from Wed. July 22- Sun. July 26.  We are headed to IL for a family reunion, where Rick’s family owns a 265 acre farm (picture above taken in July of 2007). We gather with over 100 family members every 2 yrs, such a fun time for our family. There will be plenty of pictures to post when I return including a very cool Bridal session.

Piggie Tails

My girl has so much hair. On top that is. We call it her  racing stripe. Its long enough to sport a pigtail, very cute I might add. Here she is modeling her new do in all her cuteness!

Baby Blues {Austin Family Photographer}

I had the pleasure of working with some good friend this morning at the Capitol. Little Sarah is Parker’s friend, Samuel is Cooper’s friend & baby David is Presley’s friend. We play often. Maybe I’m bias but what a good looking bunch of kids they are. Mom & dad need to bottle this DNA up  or something! Don’t they make beautiful babies or what?!

I love these shots, I think it really captures Sarah’s beauty, Samuel’s playfulness & the baby-ness of David. It makes it easier to edit, knowing which looks are the “real” looks that these kids actually give. Sometimes that part is tricking when editing kids you don’t know. (Ok so I did have a lot of silly Sam faces to weed through, but that’s what being 3 is all about!) I’ll post some more on these guys this week.

Custom Photobooks {Austin Engagement Photographer}

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE when I complete a custom book for a customer. The best part is getting it in the mail and being the first to look through it. It fills me up with all kinds of excitement, knowing the client will LOVE it! Its also bittersweet knowing your session is over. I truly enjoy working with my clients and personalizing their orders to fit their needs.

Here are some pictures I shot of Bryan & Heather’s album. This special album comes in a 10×10, 8×8 or 5×5. Each album holds 35-40 photos & any wording one could dream up. All backgrounds are customizable to the occasion as well. (Engagement, Wedding, Baby, Senior & Family)

Outtakes…

Thought it would be funny to show you all what it looks like when Rick & I try to get all 5 of our kids in one picture. Usually there is one perpetrator  in the bunch, sometimes two. I’m sure you can spot him & her a mile away.

On another note… I am booking up quickly for fall/Christmas sessions. I usually book 1-2 months in advanced. So if you are thinking of doing a session OR have a baby on the way PLEASE call and get on the schedule so that we are sure to reserve you a spot.
