Parker Joy

It seems to be harder to blog about my older children, I don’t take as many pictures as I use to when they were babies. But today I am going to post about Parker. She started K at home last week and LOVES school. She begs for more and tells me its not long enough. ha! Such a difference from the boys. I guess I had better start finding her more school to do before she gets bored on me. Here are a few shots of her from July. I needed some new ones of her for our walls. Started looking like Presley was taking over. *dress was made by a dear friend, Tiffany who has an amazing gift of sewing, she also made one for Parker’s American Girl doll, so cute!!*

Just Hatched {Austin Newborn Photographer}

Tonight I had the pleasure of working with my friends Luke, Sara, Cooper & their newest addition Juliet. Just going to put a little teaser on for them, WAY more to come later. The hardest part was just trying to figure out what to post. UGH! I’m so indecisive. Here are a few to hold you all over for now & for those who have not met her yet!

The Twinkies

Many of you already know this story but for those of you who are reading and don’t know me personally, here it goes. My best friend from high school, in FL, Kelly, now lives in NC. She & I were due with our last babies January 25, 2009. Weird! She was having a girl, and we didn’t find out. But she knew what we were having, we had our DR. write it in note  and mail it to her. Anyway, I was induced on January 12 & while in labor she called and was in labor too. Anyway we delivered our girls 30 minutes apart, in different states. Funny! She even named Presley for us. ha! While in FL she came & our babies met. Here they are “playing” together. (Caroline on the left & Pres on the right). Of course that is Pres taking all the toys away. Can you tell she’s a 5th born?

And sweet baby Caroline Fisher, looking just like her daddy…

This is Campbell Kelly’s other beautiful daughter, check out that gorgeous hair! I’ll throw some more up of these girls in a few…

We *Heart* Books

Our first week of school is going well. We have started a new curriculum this year and are using Sonlight. It’s fantastic, full of reading. Our kit came with over 40 books full of history, facts, readers, science, animals, children’s poems and the list goes on and on. This week we are reading Charlotte’s web, we’ve learned about many different animals, we’ve done a science experiment with magnets, and have memorized Psalm 1:1. Good stuff. Here is a picture I submitted, of Carson, in a Sonlight contest, we didn’t win but we will be in the 2010 catalog. : )

New *Girly* Birth Announcements

I spent Saturday designing these very fun, very girly birth announcements. Makes you want to have a baby girl huh?! LOVE LOVE LOVE these!

Goodbye Summer…

Summer is officially over for our family, back to school on Monday. Of course that’s back to the Warpula Independent School System. Starting year 3 of homeschooling my little pupils. As time consuming, frustrating and hard work that it can be, it is well worth it. I will admit homeschooling is not for everyone. For our family it works, we love the extra time that the kids are with us. And most importantly we love how hands on we are in their education. I am so proud of my “little learners” and look forward to a new year of schooling. This year we will add a Kindergartner~Parker joins the boys and I. I’m sure the first few weeks of adjustment will have me in a frenzy. On the photography side, I am off for 2 weeks to adjust & then the fall rush begins. *Only 6 sessions left in 09, by the way* so if you were wanting a Christmas session email me & I will do my best to get you on the schedule!

Smitten

Love.This.Girl. She is on the go, growing too fast before our eyes. Crawling, pulling up on all the furniture, climbing over the dog, wow!

More of Artsy Baby {Austin Newborn Photographer}

Little Jackson really did have the smoothest, prettiest skin of all newborns. Usually it can be difficult to edit a newborn session, because of all the redness. But not this little guy, he was smooth & pretty.

He’s 3 Today!

Today our little buddy turns 3 yrs old. We remember his days of being a baby so fondly. Cooper was the cuddliest one of all, the kind that would lay his head on your shoulder for no reason at all. He and Carson are our outside boys. Cooper is in his element when he is out doors with a truck in hand.  He has a very pleasant, mild personality.   For the last year he has let the toddler side out. Typical stuff like hitting other toddlers, screaming, hitting the dog, pooping in his pants and the list goes on and on. We are praying for a better year now that he is 3 and hoping he will soon grow out of this stage.

Here are some pictures of what he does best- pushing a truck around for hours and hours. This is where he is happiest, on Grandma’s farm in IL.

Bathing Beauty & Family ~ Part TWO

Ava was a friend of mine back in HS. We have reconnected on Facebook, go figure! She booked me for a session while I was down in FL. It was so great meeting your family Ava, you all are such a precious family!

As much as I love the color shots on the beach I think I love the black & whites almost as much maybe even more! Especially on pretty blond babies. Such a fun, messy session. I always forget how messy sand can be, it gets everywhere. Thankfully this mama was not as phased as I would have been about it. : )
