Backyard Oasis {Austin Chilren’s Photographer}
October 28, 2010 – 2:10 pm
Our friends, The Hoovers have a new theme each year for their Christmas cards. Three years ago it was boots and winter themed, last year was at the football field for an Aggie’s theme. This year in honor of adding a backyard oasis with an outdoor kitchen and a pool we went tropical. So I must admit I am a little jealous, ok maybe A LOT jealous! What a stunning backyard and pool. I wanted to jump right in, but it was really, really cold. ha! I was just relieved I did not fall in with the camera, wheww! Thanks Kristi, as always I look forward to your next idea. As always the kids were super cute and it went smoothly.

The Cobern Family {Austin Family Photographer}
October 27, 2010 – 4:37 pm
You’ll probably recognize these boys, I did their senior pictures, one recently one was a few years ago. Well mama wanted a family session, and for good reason. They have not had a family session in 11 years, eek! Pam that was way too long! So we took care of that on Sunday. Here are some of my favorites, not focusing on the boys, they had their turns.

The Lippmans {Austin Family Photographer}
October 26, 2010 – 12:09 pm
I love when my clients choose to come back year after year for their family photos. It’s most rewarding to see how much the little ones have grown and changed. The little guy was only 10 months when they first came to me. He’s slow to warm up but once you get him going he’s a big ham. The other two are just as outgoing as ever and are always lots of fun. Thanks Lippmans, as always it was fun!

Special Family {Austin Family Photographer}
October 24, 2010 – 9:24 pm
This family will always hold a special place in our hearts. We first met 5 1/2 years ago though Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, where they have a special hand clinic. Our daughter was born with only 1 hand. The hospital put us in contact with another family in our area that also had a daughter with a “little arm”. This was the Amsler Family. They welcomed us and we then met Abbie, who was 4 at the time. Once we saw her running around and playing we decided this was not a big deal and our Parker was going to be just fine. We are so thankful to the Amsler’s for allowing us to ask them so many questions (that still come up) on how to handle things. They are the sweetest family and as you can see very beautiful. Love you guys!

Mine On Monday #20 {Colorado}
October 18, 2010 – 3:57 pm
While we were in Colorado, we took a field trip over to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. This is the only zoo ever to be built into the mountain. Wow what an amazing place it was! We were up so close to the animals. I only wish I had all my children with me this time around to see. Our favorite part was the grizzly bear, he was in the water right up to the glass playing with a log. He even posed for a picture with Parker. The giraffes were really great too. We bought crackers for them and they let us feed them. The zoo also has a ski lift you can take up to the top of the mountain. We went back and did this on the next day.
On Friday we went to Denver and shopped at American Girl. This was probably Parker’s highlight of the trip. She brought along one of her AG dolls and we had her hair done.

Chandler is 1! {Austin Baby Photographer}
October 17, 2010 – 10:09 pm
Sweet Chandler, one of my San Antonio baby planners, turned 1. I love watching the baby plan babies grow from session to session, into the waddle toddler walk. It also amazes me how much their hair grows between the 6 month session and the 1 year session. This little bit showed up with a head full of curls that were not there at the 6 month session. Thank you R. family for choosing me to capture her first year of sessions, it has been so much fun getting to know your family.
